- Now Available in Los Angeles, CA
The moment many of us have been waiting for has finally come. As of yesterday, May 1, 2012, the all-new 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid is now available for test drive, sale, and lease here in Los Angeles. Most Toyota dealerships have a waiting list that they will notify by phone and email, but reports show that Los Angeles Toyota dealerships have received a good number of these Prius Plug In Hybrids which gives walk-ins a chance to get their hands on one of these extremely popular vehicles. With the price of fuel continually on the rise, the new Prius Plug-In Hybrid is likely to make quite the splash on the popularity charts this Summer. The new “recharged” Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid is the first-ever Toyota electric vehicle which allows drivers to operate the Prius on electricity only. Toyota’s website reports that the Prius Plug-In Hybrid can “travel up to 62 mph on electric power alone…If you run out of electric charge, the vehicle seamlessly shifts into hybrid mode, still giving you great mpg.”
The way the Prius Plug-In Hybrid charges is through a standard household outlet with a 15 amp circuit. The battery can be fully charged in about 3 hours. However, you can upgrade to a dedicated 240v EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) outlet and your Prius battery will charge in only half the time (1.5hrs). The option of having dedicated electric driving can really add up in the savings department. If you need to run errands around town or go somewhere local, you can do it on a pure electric charge and consume zero fuel whatsoever. If you’re out on the roads and your charge begins to get low, you won’t have to worry because the hybrid aspect of the Prius will kick in and use some fuel to compensate – still resulting in amazing MPG.
So if you’ve been one of those people anxiously waiting for the new Prius Plug-In Hybrid, they’re here! Contact your local Toyota dealer or use our secure Contact Form and we can recommend a reputable dealer local to you.

In the past when automobiles were built they were likely built with two different themes. One theme was an automobile created for those who would utilize them as family automobiles. The other theme would be automobiles designed for those who were using them more for work purposes. The separation of family and work automobiles has always seemed ridiculous, as a result the engineers at Toyota have crafted something that fulfills the best of both worlds!
Far too often a company will reach a point where they become content with how far they have come and as such begin to lost sight of how they got to that point in the first place, in many cases decades prior to that point. Success doesn’t occur overnight so when corporations stop attempting to change and adapt with the times, that is when the competitor jumps up and take a giant bite out of their market share.
There are many vehicles that claim to be the best of the best when it comes to this or that. While they are entitled to say whatever they would like, there are few automobile brands that can claim many of these so called “bests” and truly stand behind those claims when push comes to shove. This couldn’t be further from the truth when it comes to the
The best test of the quality of something is to put it up against its competitors and let them slug it out to see who the victor is and who has the superior product. This is exactly what we at Toyota did, as we are not afraid to put our products up against any other vehicles in their class to see which one would win in a hypothetical fight. When we compared our incredible new
It is not easy by any means to become the best at something. No matter what it is, to become the best takes discipline, patience, hard work, persistence and probably even a little bit of luck. It is no different when you are an automobile company creating some of the most capable vehicles the world has ever seen year in and year out. While it is far from easy, it is a challenge the engineers at Toyota welcome with open arms and work every day to reach. Well, when it comes to the
There are so many automobile companies that say that if you come in to buy a vehicle you can get absolutely every bell and whistle you could ever want for a price you can’t imagine. Since it is too good to be true, you go in and quickly realize that what you want is only available in the most expensive trim level while the trim level you can afford is nothing but the most basic of amenities that even your grandparent’s car had two decades ago! This is an age old car sales technique which the dealerships just want to get you into their showroom so they can hassle you into buying a car.
They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so if that is the case consider us appreciative. How else does one explain the numerous attempts by nearly every major automobile brand to create a competitor to the Toyota Prius. Unfortunately for them however, their efforts have proven quite fruitless as the Toyota Prius is still the preeminent hybrid vehicle on the market today. That being said, the
